History

Not much has happened since my last post, yet a lot has happened in terms of history. Last Tues (Nov 4th), I took the kids with me and voted for our new president. We were definitely a part of history in the making and are very excited about the future - both for us here and for our family in Israel. Here's to healthcare for all! Ok..enough about politics...
The weather is definitely turning colder and we are now in the "ugly side" of fall...where nothing is golden anymore and everything is dying and bare in preparation for winter. I'm happy that it hasn't really snowed yet and am hopeful that there will be less snow than last winter.

Both Yoni and Sylvie are growing and developing so much every day. Yoni has new lines every day and is becoming quite the back-seat driver: "Mama, Slow down! Be careful! Why you driving fast?" or "Mama, you driving slow? why?", "Go this way! This way is to the museum, this way is to the Gan (daycare)." He loves to say "Can I tell you a question?" and when you say sure, he says something like "I had a good day today", or "I'm hungry". He also loves to whisper in our ear - "You know what daddy? I love you SO much!"...he's such a cutie. He also calls to Sylvie "Come here, sweetie! Come!" They are very cute together and love to play with each other.

Yesterday, Sylvie had a check up at 17 months...She weighed in at 21.5 lbs (9.85kg, 19%), and her length is 40%, and head is at 27%. She's accumulating quite the vocabulary: "All gone, up, down, water, milk, more", and is an expert at shaking her head while saying "Noooo!" when she doesn't want something - like when I say 'Time to go to sleep!". Here she is feeding herself a yo-baby...she much prefers her hands to her spoon.

We have a busy time coming up...Sylvie and I are visiting her BFF, Ella, in Dallas this weekend and the following weekend, my parents are coming up for Thanksgiving, and then we're all headed to FL for a visit! So exciting!!!
