Pumpkin Weekend

We had quite an eventful weekend. On Saturday, Jonathan went to his last Saturday swim class with his favorite teacher, Angie. They focused on swimming safety and he learned about life vests and how to float. We are so happy with his classes, that we've signed him up for one more session, though on Tues and Thurs afternoons. We'll miss Angie, though.

After his swim class, we drove down to Keene, NH for their famous Pumpkin Festival. Keene used to hold the world record for most Jack O'Lanterns lit in one place. This year, they had over 22,000 pumpkins, which was really amazing to see. This is their official website. We narrowly avoided the rain and headed back home in time for dinner.

On Sunday, we carved our own pumpkins and the kids had little pumpkins to paint. Of course Mike used a pumpkin to make delicious pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread. Click on the slideshow to enlarge.
