Sundae in the Park

We're having a great week...maybe in part due to the fact that I've been going to bed with the kids - at like 8:30 every night...so I have a little more energy. On Sunday, we went to the Lebanon Green, where they had the yearly "Sundae in the Park" with unlimited free ice cream. It was fun - Jonathan played in the bounce house, swung a couple of bats, got a balloon and they both enjoyed the playground.
For the past couple of days, I've been taking the kids to a nearby lake in Quechee, VT called Lake Pinneo. I've heard of it from both patients and friends but I haven't been brave enough to try it out yet. It is totally fabulous. We get there in the afternoon after their naps and have stayed for about an hour or so. There's a great sloping beach and the water is pretty warm. The really great thing is that we've been able to play with the beach toys that are already there so I haven't had to buy the kids beach toys yet. They also have a playground, a swing set, and picnic tables for snacking. We hope to continue to go to take advantage of the beautiful weather we've been having.
