I'll set the scene:
It's right after bath time - I've sent Yoni to his room to put his pull-up on while I dress Sylvie in her PJ's. Then I put Sylvie down and go to the bathroom to pick up their clothes to place in their hampers. As soon as I leave, I start to hear laughing and squealing, so I grab the camera and find the two chasing each other in the guest room.

Pesach 2008
We had a blast this Passover with Idan, Amy, and Hudson and had a fun Seder Saturday night. The meal was a comedy of errors- the matzah ball soup was great except that the matzah balls were originally made with soup mix (clearly, I wasn't paying attention), the soup was strained and the new balls were dense and tough. The Kugel was in the oven for 3 hours instead of one hour (after I peeked in and decided that it needed just 5 more minutes), but like Mike said...good thing he just sharpened his teeth. The brisket turned into a rubber ball, Idan drank beer all night long and the only real success was the mint ice cream at the end. But, we all had fun and we got to the 'deep cleaning' finally today.
The weather has been so beautiful lately and all of our snow has almost finally melted....to uncover all of the leaves that we didn't get to that are still covering our yard...we're praying for some strong winds, as we don't really have the time for landscaping. But, we did make some progress today...and we learned that mowing the leaves doesn't make them go away! Here are all the pics.
Here's a video of Hudson with Idan and Yoni:
This one is a rare moment of Yoni and Sylvie playing quietly "together" (more like co-existing)- all the toys are stacked because we just washed the floor:
Finally, here'a video of the kids outside...hard to tell if it's spring or fall with all of the leaves that are still on the ground!

Summer in New Hampshire!
Next week it will be in the 60's, but this week was fabulous, warm and sunny with temps in the 70's! It made the week without Mike much easier since the kids and I basically went to different playgrounds and also spent an afternoon in the Science Museum. Yoni is quite the adventurer and climbs to the tallest slide and just goes down before I can even reach him with Sylvie in tow. Scary, but I guess I have to let go some day :) Sylvie has quite the personality - she is very vocal about what she wants and is very clear when she wants to eat, go down and play, or wants to go to sleep....she is much more active than I remember Jonathan being and is constantly laughing or making noise and having fun...and is always on the go. I put her down in the playground and she was all in the leaves as soon as I turned my head!
Knowing my luck, the second I pack the snowsuits away, it will snow again that day, so the daycare had to finally tell me that they think it's enough if I just bring sweaters with the kids from now on :) Here are the pics from the past week.
The first video is from the science museum and the penny well (the pennies fall out from the bottom for re-use).
Here is a video of the kids on the swings in the playground...by the time I got the camera going, Jonathan was done with the swing, but Sylvie was still giggling.

Life..the good, the bad, and the ugly
I know..it's been 16 whole days since I've last updated....So much is going on and nothing is going on, so I'm not sure what to write about. Both kids have been sick with Hand-Foot-Mouth, so they had fevers, and now the rash, but they've been acting great all along which is nice. I'm just so ready for them to be healthy again...and am grateful that it happened this week and not next, as Mike is leaving next weekend for a week-long review course for his Oral Boards, which has been scheduled, by the way for the morning of June 3rd. So if anyone has any extra vibes that they can bear to part with...please send them his way during that time.
In other news, we can finally see grass again on our lawn (with all of the leaves that we have yet to pick up) as the snow is graciously melting. The weather has been in the 50's and sunny lately which is definitely a welcome change. I'm already dreading next winter and am trying to plan many trips down south!
Like I said...nothing much to report...life is just running at full pace and I am trying to keep up. I'm mostly tired and feel like I can never accomplish what needs to get done in a day - going to the gym, cleaning, laundry, spending time with the kids, working/checking up on patients, reading for fun, reading medical stuff, dealing with finances, paying bills, making dinner, etc...but I am so grateful for it all :) Sorry...no pics...I don't even know where the camera is.
